Room Bookings

Several rooms in our building may be available from time to time for use by outside organisations, such as playgroups. Evidence of suitable insurance covering the event is required - this precludes most private events, so we don’t hire rooms for parties. We regret that as it is an older building, wheelchair access is limited. There is no wheelchair access to the toilets. Extremely loud music, alcohol and smoking are not permitted in the building. For more information please call the church on (03) 9580 1279, or use the contact form here.

The rooms are:

  • The Arthur Scott Hall (“the hall”): large room with reverse cycle air conditioners, sofas in one corner, kitchen access, chairs and benches. Generally used for playgroups, large meetings, and rehearsals. The floor is concrete - it is not suitable for dance groups, but physical activity using mats is possible. Toilet access is off the Hall Foyer.
The room is 13.4m by 8.8m, but there is furniture that we prefer not to move so the open space is less than this. We have about 60 chairs.

  • The Blue Room: a meeting room for up to 10 people; it has a gas heater, table and chairs, and kitchen access. Often used by tennis groups as it has direct access to the rear of the building and the tennis courts. Toilet access off the Hall Foyer.

This room is 6.4m by 4.4m.

  • The Purple Room: primarily intended for up to 6 kinder-aged children, with large kinder play equipment, a gas heater, direct external access to a small outdoor fenced play area. Opens off the Arthur Scott Hall. Toilet access is via the Hall to the Hall Foyer.

This room measures 7.4m by 4.4m.

  • The Chapel Foyer: useful for small meetings, with kitchenette, but requiring a trip to the Hall Foyer for toilet access.

  • The Chapel: While this is mainly used for worship services, we occasionally host concerts in the Chapel. It can seat around 70 people.

  • The Fellowship Room: this is used for church meetings only, and is listed here only because it may be visible in the calendar below.

We also have two outdoor tennis courts which are available to members of the church Tennis Club and related groups. Kim Davis, a professional tennis coach, offers tennis lessons on our courts - she can be contacted on 0412 066598.
