Regular meetings

Community-oriented events

These events are free (unless otherwise indicated) and open to all, whether a member of a church or not.

Playgroup

If you have children up to 6 years old, this playgroup is open to you! Meeting on Mondays from 10:30am to 12:30pm, this is a registered playgroup and so requires a small membership fee once you decide to join - but you are welcome to drop in and see what happens before making a commitment. Contact Nicki on 8502 6234 for more information.

Friendship Centre

Meeting in the hall on Wednesdays 10.30am—3pm, the Friendship Centre is free and open to all ages. Participate in board games and activities, have lunch, chat with others over a cuppa in our Conversation Corner, or learn about computers in the afternoons. If you would like to make new friends, and prefer to come out during the day, please join us! Contact Debbie via the church office for more information.

Around Arthur's Table

If you would like to meet new friends, or need a reason to get away from the TV on a Wednesday evening, you are invited to drop in and join us 'Around Arthur's Table' between 6.30pm and 9pm. Various optional activities such as computer skills, genealogy research, photography, and talks about travel are offered. A free light meal is also available.  Contact Gwenda or Steve via the church office for more information.

The church hall is named in memory of Arthur Scott, who served the Church for many years as Board Secretary, and this group which meets in the hall gets its name from him too.

Coffee & Chat

An informal get together over refreshments and a cup of coffee or tea from 10.00am—12.00 midday on Thursdays, open to men and women of all ages, and dogs! Just drop in and make yourself at home. Contact Gwenda via the church office for more information.

Events oriented around Christianity

These events assume you are, or have an interest in becoming, a follower of Christ - a Christian - which brings about significant changes in your self, and in the way you relate to others and to the world.

CWEF

The CWEF (Christian Women's Evening Fellowship, but don't hold that against them) meets monthly on Tuesday evenings for discussions, activities and friendship. Contact Gwenda via the church office for more information.

Springvale Bible Study and Prayer Group

This group for 'young' adults - whether single, married, or with young children - meets on Mondays 7.30pm—10.30pm in the Springvale/Keysborough area to discuss the Bible and issues it raises for us today. The meeting starts with a meal. Contact Steve via the church office for more information.

Parkdale Bible Study and Prayer Group

This group is temporarily suspended while its members assist 'Around Arthur's Table' in starting up!

(Open to all ages, this group meets in the Church foyer on alternate Wednesdays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm to discuss the Bible and issues it raises for us today. Contact Steve via the church office for more information.)

Mordialloc-Parkdale Youth Connection

Four churches in this area work together for youth activities, with different age groups meeting in different places. The Cross Creatures group for young people aged 12-16 meets at our church on Friday evenings for activities, discussions etc; contact Daniel via the church office for more information.

The Kids Creations group for younger children meets at St. Aidan's Anglican Church. More details may be found in their Term 3 Flyer (PDF).

Shall We Pray

This devotional prayer group meets for discussion, prayer and meditation every 2nd Sunday evening, 7pm—8pm, unless the date clashes with the monthly Evening Service. Contact Steve via the church office for more information.

Tennis Club

We have a Christian Tennis Club which meets and plays on the church tennis courts. You do not need to be a member of this church to take part. For enquiries please contact Andrew via the church office.

Elders

The Elders meet monthly two weeks before the next Board meeting, to discuss pastoral and spiritual matters arising in the church community.

Board

The Board meets on the second Thursday of each month to discuss matters to do with the management of the buildings and the community. Everyone is welcome to submit items for discussion to any board member.
