Are you really on the journey of faith, or are you
stalled somewhere?
The Christian belief is that we are put right with God by
grace through faith, and not by works. That is, we don't have to do things to
earn God's favour - rather, that God's favour is upon us anyway, just as we
are, if we accept it through Jesus. But that doesn't mean we can now sit idly
and do nothing - instead, we are called to do things as a consequence of our
faith, things that make God's love real in the world, things that bring new
life to others.
Sometimes we stall spiritually, and at these times wise
guidance and solid prayer are helpful. Sometimes we stall in our work in the
world, and at these times it is useful to find an issue we care about and try
to make a difference in that area. Every little bit counts - we don't have to
solve world hunger alone! The Social
Justice Network of the Churches of Christ might help you find a way to
make a difference - or come and talk with us at one of our activities!

way, we're real people, warts and all, and life is messy. That's ok!
